Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero(notes), who hurt his right knee on April 11, is ready to return to the big leagues and he's letting manager A.J. Hinch know it with frequent text messages, according to MLB.com.
"He's making sure that I know and everybody knows he's ready to come back," Hinch told the site. "His knee feels great. His back, his legs, the baseball soreness of Spring Training has set in a little bit, but he feels great."
If Montero can catch a full nine innings for the Reno Aces on Thursday or Friday, then he'll be back with the big club before the end of the weekend, MLB.com reported.
