Last week, the Detroit News reported that Detroit Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski said his team would be interested in having Jeremy Bonderman(notes) rejoin the team on a minor league contract, but now Dombrowski is saying that such a thing isn't going to happen.

MLB.com reports that Bonderman may be about to sign a major league contract with the Cleveland Indians.

The 28-year-old Bonderman has spent the last eight seasons with the Tigers and twice had 14-win seasons.

Dombrowski also made it clear that the Tigers aren't signing Vladimir Guerrero(notes), the News reports. "He's been an outstanding player for a long time, but it's not a fit for us," Dombrowski said. "We're not involved in that, and haven't been."
