Florida Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla(notes) hit 33 home runs last season and drove in 100 runs, to boot. So who wouldn't want the 2006 National League Rookie of the Year on their roster?

Well, apparently, the Marlins don't. The team has been taking calls to see what it could get for him and FOXSports has it that the trade could come this week as general managers gather for meetings in Orlando.

ESPN reports that the Toronto Blue Jays are the frontrunners right now to get the 30-year-old two-time All-Star who won his first Silver Slugger award this season.

Teams that supposedly have expressed interest in Uggla include the Washington Nationals, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, and Jays, according to FOX. The site also notes that a few of these teams would move Uggla, who recently turned down a four-year, $48 million extension offer, to third base.
