Oakland Athletics pitcher Justin Duchscherer missed all of last season with shoulder and back injuries and most of 2007 due to a left hip injury so he knows what it feels like to be seriously hurting.
He's got a new injury, this one in his left hip, and the Duke of Hurl said yesterday that it feels "identical" to that right-hip injury that had him having two surgeries back in 2007 and 2008, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Duchscherer was 2-0 with a 1.82 ERA and 1.26 WHIP going into last night's game. Then last night he only lasted 3.1 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays, letting in two homers and four earned runs in the 6-3 loss. Ouch.
