The Boston Red Sox have opened a season with five straight victories over the New York Yankees for the first time since 1985 and the frustration prompted some fans to begin a "We Want Torre'' chant in the ninth inning, according to the New York Daily News.

The Red Sox, who swept a three-game series from the Yankees last weekend at Fenway Park, are now 5-for-5 against them after their sweep of the two-game set. The two teams don't meet again until June 9 in Boston.

Alex Rodriguez(notes) should be back in the lineup by that time, and the Yankees could certainly use another big bat after going 1-for-12 (.083) with runners in scoring position in the last two games and 8-for-54 (.148) overall in the five losses to the Red Sox.

"The next time we play them, we can't be thinking about what happened in the first five games," Derek Jeter(notes) said.
