MLB - Scoop Du Jour

New York Mets owners Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz are looking for a new minority owner to add some cash to a struggling franchise.

Sources tell the New York Daily News that one of the groups that's been approved by Major League Baseball to have further talks with the Mets includes "Entourage" executive producer Doug Ellin, as well as three of its stars: Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Ed Burns.

"I'm a giant sports fan and to be involved in a professional sports franchise would be a dream come true," said Connolly, according to the Daily News. "Growing up on Long Island, I was a giant Mets fan, so that makes it even more of a dream come true."
