TUCSON, Ariz. (AP)—Alan Zinter hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Arizona Diamondbacks’ split squad a 13-10 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday.

Troy Glaus continued his strong hitting in the Cactus League, going 2-for-3 with a double, homer and four RBIs. The Diamondbacks’ new third baseman is 10-for-21—a .476 average—with five extra-base hits and 12 RBIs in nine games.

Glaus’ two-run double off the center-field wall in the first inning put Arizona up 2-0 off Brewers starter Jose Capellan, who gave up five earned runs on nine hits in 3 1-3 innings.

Craig Counsell, who was 4-for-4, had an RBI double in the second to make it 3-0, and added a two-run homer in the third.

Milwaukee got four runs on six hits in the fifth inning—including an RBI single by Capellan—off Arizona starter Brandon Webb.

Russell Branyan’s solo homer to center field in the seventh inning, his third homer of the spring, closed the Brewers’ deficit to 8-7.

Milwaukee scored three times in the eighth inning, taking advantage of two Arizona errors, to take a 10-9 lead before Luis Terrero tied the game with a solo homer leading off the ninth for Arizona.

Zinter’s game-winning homer was just his second hit in eight at-bats this spring but capped a 19-hit day for the Diamondbacks.

Milwaukee had 17 hits, and has had at least 10 in 12 of their 16 games this spring. The Brewers lead all teams in batting with a .306 average so far.
