Milton Bradley has had more than his share of stints on the disabled list, including three in three months with the Oakland Athletics in 2007. His latest ailment, however, isn’t expected to keep him out too long.

After sitting out a game because he felt light-headed, Bradley could be back in the lineup for the Texas Rangers when they play the middle game of their home series with the Athletics on Saturday night.

Since playing a career-high 141 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004, Bradley hasn’t played more than 96 games in a season. He has been on the DL 12 times in his eight-year career, including three times with Oakland (29-26) at the start of last season.

Because of concern over his injury history, Bradley got just a one-year deal from Texas (28-28) in the offseason. But Bradley has been durable in 2008, and has helped solidify the Rangers’ lineup.

The outfielder was scratched from Texas’ starting lineup Friday night due to light-headedness, but he was available for pinch-hitting duty and will likely be back Saturday. His bat wasn’t needed in the series opener as the Rangers beat the Athletics 3-1.

Bradley is batting .368 (7-for-19) with a home run, three doubles and four RBIs in six games against Oakland this season, and .327 with eight home runs and 31 RBIs in 48 games overall.

Rookie Brandon Boggs, a late addition to the lineup with Bradley out, matched a career high with three RBIs.

“The kid is not intimidated,” Rangers manager Ron Washington said of Boggs, who is batting .274 in 26 games. “He’s a sponge, he works hard and stays ready. Every opportunity he’s gotten, he’s done something with.”

Boggs helped the Rangers continue their strong play, winning for the sixth time in their last nine games. They have scored 10 runs or more three times in that span.

Texas, trying to surpass the .500 mark for the first time since it was 5-4 on April 10, will send Scott Feldman (1-2, 4.57 ERA) to the mound. He is 0-1 with a 7.50 ERA in his last two starts.

The right-hander gave up five runs and six hits in six innings as the Rangers lost 5-2 to Cleveland on Saturday night.

Feldman is 1-1 with a 2.19 ERA in two starts against Oakland this season.

The A’s, trying to snap a three-game losing streak, will counter with Joe Blanton (3-6, 3.92 ERA). He is coming off his first win in five starts this month, giving up three runs and five hits while tying a season high with seven strikeouts in six innings as Oakland beat Boston 6-3 on Sunday.

The right-hander faced the Rangers on May 2, when he allowed four runs - two earned - in seven innings as the A’s lost 4-3.

Blanton had won six straight decisions against Texas before that game. He is 6-3 with a 4.52 ERA in 11 starts and one relief appearance versus the Rangers.

Oakland pitchers have been getting little run support, as the A’s have scored a total of two runs during their three-game skid.

A bright spot for Oakland on Friday was rookie outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, who had two doubles in his major league debut. The A’s called up the 22-year-old from Triple-A Sacramento earlier in the day.

“We didn’t win, but I’m very excited about my debut,” Gonzalez said. “It’s something I’ll never forget.”
