Kazuhisa Ishii will try to help the Los Angeles Dodgers close out a three-game interleague series of the visiting Baltimore Orioles.

Leading the Dodgers with eight wins this season, Ishii has won six of his last eight decisions, including victories in three straight starts while compiling a 1.89 ERA.

In a 6-1 victory at Toronto last Thursday, the Japanese left-hander allowed a run and six hits over eight innings. Ishii is 4-1 with a 1.45 ERA in five home starts this season, and is 15-9 with a 3.15 ERA at Dodger Stadium during his three-year career.

The Dodgers have won three of four, including Wednesday’s 6-3 victory. Jayson Werth hit a three-run homer, and Shawn Green went 1-for-3 with an RBI for Los Angeles.

It was the second homer in as many games for Werth, who was acquired from Toronto on March 30 for pitcher Jason Frasor, and has spent much of the season on the disabled list with a strained muscle in his rib cage.

Green is hitting .467 (14-for-30) with a homer, three doubles and six RBIs in his last eight games.

The Orioles lost for the eighth time in 11 games.

They’ll start Rodrigo Lopez, who leads Baltimore starters with five victories this season.

The Mexican right-hander hasn’t lost since May 20 at Seattle, going 2-0 in four starts since.
