Kazuhisa Ishii will try for his fourth straight win as the Los Angeles Dodgers play the middle game of their series with the Baltimore Orioles.

Ishii has been dominant in his last three starts, going 3-0 and compiling a 1.89 ERA. He stopped the Dodgers’ two-game losing streak by beating the Blue Jays 5-1 on Thursday, pitching eight innings and allowing only a solo home run.

The Dodgers won Wednesday’s series opener 5-1, as Jose Lima pitched seven strong innings.

“Lima was just as effective as he’s been for us recently,” Los Angeles manager Jim Tracy said. “It all boils down to his command.”

The win was only the Dodgers’ third in eight games.

Adrian Beltre broke a scoreless tie in the sixth with an infield single, a bouncer back to the mound that handcuffed Daniel Cabrera and scored Milton Bradley from third.

Juan Encarnacion drove the rookie’s next pitch into the left-field pavilion for his 10th homer.

Baltimore continues to struggle, dropping seven of its last 10 games.

The interleague game was the first meeting between the teams at Dodger Stadium since the Orioles won the first two games of the 1966 World Series on their way to a sweep of Los Angeles.
