With their eyes on the best record in the National League, the Giants will try to sweep the Dodgers as the teams complete a weekend set at Dodger Stadium.
The Giants beat the Dodgers 6-0 Saturday for their 10th victory in 14 meetings this season. It was San Francisco’s sixth win in seven games overall.
The Giants, who have already clinched the NL West title, pulled within a half-game of Atlanta for the best mark in the league, which guarantees home-field advantage in the NL playoffs.
The loss, the fourth in five games for the Dodgers, dropped them 3 1/2 games behind Florida in the wild-card race with nine games to play.
The Dodgers conclude the regular season with four games against the Giants, from Sept. 26-28 at Pac Bell Park.
The Giants, who plan to rest most of their regulars Sunday, got four hits and an RBI from Marquis Grissom in Saturday’s win.
Barry Bonds, who has 657 career homers, walked twice and drove in the Giants’ first run with a towering sacrifice fly. He was hitless in two official at-bats, leaving him three homers behind Willie Mays for third on the career list.
The Dodgers will send Kazuhisa Ishii to the mound Sunday.
The Japanese left-hander is 1-0 with a 2.04 ERA in three career starts against the Giants. He pitched six innings of two-hit ball in an 8-2 home win on June 18.

GIANTS PROBABLE STARTER: Kevin Correia (2-1, 2.43 ERA). Making his sixth career start, Correia is 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA as a starter, and 0-0 with a 1.80 ERA in three relief appearances. The 23-year-old right-hander was extremely wild in the Giants’ 5-4 home victory over Milwaukee last Sunday, walking three and hitting two, while allowing two runs and three hits over 2 2-3 innings. He is facing the Dodgers for the first time.
DODGERS PROBABLE STARTER: Ishii (9-6, 3.28 ERA). Ishii hasn’t won since July 18 against St. Louis. He is 0-3 with a 3.90 ERA in his last six starts, a stretch that includes a stint on the 15-day disabled list because of a knee injury. Despite giving up two runs and five hits over five innings on Tuesday, he lost 3-2 to visiting Arizona. He walked three to increase his total on the season to 92, fourth-most in the NL.
