Brad Radke looks to avenge his only loss since the All-Star break as the Minnesota Twins finish their two-game series against the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field.

Radke had won three straight decisions before suffering an 8-3 loss to the Indians on Thursday. Despite the loss, Radke is 3-1 with a 3.95 ERA over his last six starts.

Radke has struggled against Cleveland more than any other team during his nine-year career. The veteran righty is 5-15 with a 6.00 ERA in 25 career starts against the Indians.

Teammate Johan Santana stayed hot in August with eight strong innings and Matt LeCroy hit a three-run homer, leading Minnesota to an 8-2 win over Cleveland on Tuesday.

Santana struck out a season-high 10 and allowed eight hits. The left-hander is 3-0 this month and has given up just four earned runs in his last 30 innings.

With the win, the Twins pulled within 1 1/2 games of first-place Kansas City in the AL Central. It is the closest the defending division champs have been since July 2.

Casey Blake went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer for the Indians, who have lost three of four.

Cleveland will have left-hander Brian Anderson on the mound Wednesday. Anderson beat Radke on Thursday, improving to 9-9 this season. He is 2-0 lifetime against Minnesota despite a 4.88 ERA in five career starts.

INDIANS PROBABLE STARTER: Anderson (9-9, 3.83 ERA). The southpaw held the Twins to one run and six hits over 8 1-3 innings Thursday.
