Miguel Batista will look to win his fourth consecutive decision when the Arizona Diamondbacks open a two-game series against the San Diego Padres at Bank One Ballpark.

Batista is 3-0 with a 2.36 ERA in his last six starts. He allowed one run and six hits through seven innings Friday, but did not get a decision in the Diamondbacks’ 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“It was a little frustrating to end up with a no-decision, but we’re winning and that’s all we want to do,” Batista said.

The Diamondbacks, who lead the Philadelphia Phillies by one game in the National League wild-card race, have won three straight and 17 of their last 20.

Arizona completed a two-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies with a 9-3 victory Tuesday. Pinch-hitter Carlos Baerga broke a seventh-inning tie with a three-run homer for the Diamondbacks, who have won seven of their last eight series.

Shea Hillenbrand, who had three homers, five hits and seven RBIs in Arizona’s 14-6 win on Monday, went 2-for-3 with a double Tuesday. He has 10 hits in his last 12 at-bats, raising his average with the Diamondbacks to .364.

The Padres, who have won eight of 10, completed their own two-game sweep on Tuesday with an 8-5 win over the Dodgers. Mark Loretta went 4-for-4 with three runs, and Sean Burroughs contributed three RBIs.
