Ramirez has not lost in 11 consecutive starts dating to April 11. The 23-year-old left-hander is 6-0 in that span, improving to 7-2 with a 3.75 ERA on the season.
“I’ve been lucky,” the rookie pitcher said. “I’ve really been spoiled. These guys have been giving me a lot of runs.”
The Braves have scored an average of 6.9 runs per game during Ramirez’s unbeaten streak.
Atlanta will hope to push across some more runs for Ramirez as it looks to extend its overall winning steak to four.
Chipper Jones hit two home runs and Hampton bounced back from two shaky starts to lead the Braves past the Expos 7-5 on Sunday.
Hampton also had two hits, including his first homer of the season, as the Braves won for the third time in the four-game series.
New York has won three straight and five of six. The Mets are trying to win four straight for the first time this season.
One week before the All-Star break, the Mets got their first series sweep of the season. Trailing 5-2, they pulled off only their second victory when trailing after seven innings.
“We can’t get caught up in looking at the standings and at our record,” said Clark, whose team is 16 games behind the Braves in the NL East. “You get frustrated with it. We’ve been fortunate the last six games to play some decent ball.”

The young right-hander has slumped of late, going 0-2 with a 10.39 ERA over his last two starts. Seo went just 3 1-3 innings, allowing five runs and six hits in an 11-4 loss to Montreal on Wednesday.
