Player Notes
Brad Miller went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Miller got the start despite lefty David Price on the hill and still managed to have a nice day. Tim Beckham went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and hasn’t really hit anybody this season, so we could see more of Miller against left-handers in the future.

Brad Miller hit his 10th home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Miller connected with a Junichi Tazawa pitch in the seventh inning for the solo bomb. He's now homered four times in his last 11 games after hitting six in his first 58. Miller's .319 batting average over his last 12 games has his overall line up to .248/.299/.455.

Brad Miller will serve as the designated hitter in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Orioles.

Advice: Corey Dickerson was the DH on Friday, but he's starting in left field Saturday. Tim Beckham will make the start at shortstop.
