Player Notes
Vidal Nuno has been named the Yankees' fifth starter.

Advice: Ivan Nova is facing season-ending elbow surgery and Nuno looked sharp in his first audition for the vacant rotation spot on Sunday, throwing five scoreless innings against the Rays. Nuno will make his next start Saturday against the Angels. He's worth a look in AL-only fantasy leagues.

Vidal Nuno held the upstart Rays offense scoreless over five innings in Sunday's extra-inning victory.

Advice: The Rays had scored 27 runs over the first two games of the series, but the lefty found the antidote on Sunday. Nuno allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out six on the day. With Ivan Nova hitting the disabled list with an elbow injury, Nuno is the most likely candidate to replace him in the rotation. His next start will likely come Saturday against the Angels.

Vidal Nuno is expected to start on Sunday against the Rays.

Advice: The Yankees need a spot starter following Wednesday's doubleheader, and Nuno makes the most sense. He last pitched on April 8 and got up to 67 pitches in the outing (though he allowed seven runs over 3 1/3 innings).
