Player Notes
Khris Davis went 2-for-4 and hit a three-run homer as the Athletics topped the Angels 7-4 on Friday.

Advice: Davis has 18 homers and 49 RBI this season, so he's definitely doing something right. Of course, he also has a 71/8 K/BB ratio, which, combined with a .243 average and just eight doubles, leaves him with a .781 OPS that's far more solid than spectacular. He might be trade bait again this summer.

Khris Davis (calf) finished 1-for-5 with two runs scored in his return to the A's lineup Tuesday.

Advice: Davis missed one game (Sunday against the Angels) because of cramping in his calf. The big slugger has 16 home runs and 45 RBI in 64 games this season for Oakland.

Khris Davis (calf) is not in the Athletics' lineup Sunday.

Advice: Davis departed Saturday's contest with cramping in his calf. He'll be fine, but the A's will have him rest Sunday. Jake Smolinski is handling left field.

Khris Davis left Saturday's game against the Angels with some minor cramping in his calf.

Advice: "I'll be alright," he told reporters after the 7-1 loss. Davis went 0-for-2 against Tim Lincecum before giving way to Max Muncy. He might sit out Sunday's series finale.

Khris Davis went 2-for-4 and hit his 16th homer Friday against the Angels.

Advice: It's Davis's second homer of June after he hit 11 in May. He's one more good game away from having a .250 average for the first time all year. Right now, he's at .246.
