Player Notes
Xander Bogaerts went 3-for-5 with an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases in Tuesday's win over the Braves.

Advice: Bogaerts adding steals to his game would be pretty sweet for fantasy owners. He's never had more than 10 in a season in the majors or minors but already has five this month. He also has his batting line up to .291/.341/.430 after a slow start.

Xander Bogaerts has returned to the Red Sox starting lineup for Sunday night's game against the Astros.

Advice: Bogaerts sat out on Saturday after he was hit on the wrist by a pitch during Friday's contest. The 23-year-old shortstop is hitting .277/.329/.431 with one homer, nine RBI and two stolen bases in his first 16 games.

Red Sox manager John Farrell said that he expects Xander Bogaerts (wrist) to return to the starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: Bogaerts sat out Saturday's game after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch on Friday. He's experiencing some soreness, but X-rays came back negative, and as long as he's able to take swings without issue he'll be back in there for Sunday's series finale.

Xander Bogaerts (wrist) is not in the Red Sox starting lineup on Saturday.

Advice: This doesn't come as a huge surprise after Bogaerts left Friday's game after being hit by a pitch on his right wrist. Brock Holt is starting in his place at shortstop while Chris Young mans left field.

Xander Bogaerts is considered day-to-day after X-rays on his right wrist came back negative on Friday.

Advice: Bogaerts was drilled by Luke Gregerson late in Friday's game which prompted the scare, but it appears as though the dynamic young shortstop will be just fine. There's a chance that he sits out on Saturday as a precautionary measure due to soreness, but he won't require an extended absence.

Xander Bogaerts was forced to leave Friday's game against the Astros after being hit in the right wrist by a Luke Gregerson fastball.

Advice: Bogaerts remained on the ground in pain before being escorted off the field by team trainers. He'll presumably head for X-rays, so fantasy owners will have to hold their breath and hope for the best. Expect the Red Sox to update his status shortly.

Xander Bogaerts (quad) is back in the Red Sox starting lineup Thursday against the Rays.

Advice: Bogaerts was lifted from Wednesday's game in the bottom of the fifth inning after experiencing some tightness in his left quad while rounding the bases on a David Ortiz double. He said afterward that he was planning to play Thursday, and he's in there as the starting shortstop and No. 3 hitter versus Rays right-hander Jake Odorizzi.
