Player Notes
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Mets and Matt Harvey's agent, Scott Boras, are disagreeing about what Harvey's innings limit should be.

Advice: Boras says that doctors advised a 180-inning limit for Harvey before the season, but general manager Sandy Alderson is contending that the pitcher has had a "soft" innings limit all along. Harvey is sitting at 166 1/3 innings currently. The Mets plan to skip one more of the right-hander's starts but have no plans to shut him down. Boras can be upset all he wants if/when Harvey surpasses the 180-inning threshold, but he has no recourse here.

Matt Harvey (dehydration) will rejoin the Mets in Miami on Friday.

Advice: Harvey didn't fly with the team to Miami after suffering from dehydration at the end of his outing Wednesday against the Phillies, but it's not a major concern. He's expected to be good to go for his upcoming start against the Nationals early next week.

Matt Harvey (dehydration) is expected to be fine.

Advice: Harvey was not on the Mets' team flight to Miami after suffering from dehydration at the end of his outing Wednesday against the Phillies, but he should be good to take his next turn in the rotation in Washington, D.C. Harvey has a stellar 2.60 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 158/34 K/BB ratio in 166 1/3 innings this season for New York.

Matt Harvey was dehydrated and "feeling a little weak" after Wednesday's start against the Phillies.

Advice: Harvey gave up four runs over 6 1/3 innings in the win, but it wasn't the most dominant he's been and officials told reporters he was feeling weak during the outing. It was unclear whether Harvey was going to travel with the Mets to Miami Wednesday night or whether he would stay behind. It shouldn't be a huge issue going forward, but it's something to monitor, especially with the Mets wanting to give the right-hander a break sometime in September.

Matt Harvey gave up four runs in 6 1/3 innings but picked up the win on Wednesday facing the Phillies.

Advice: The Mets staked Harvey to a 6-0 lead after three innings, so he had plenty of breathing room. the Phillies rallied for three runs in the fifth inning, and Darnell Sweeney homered with one out in the seventh. Overall, the right-hander gave up nine hits and a walk while striking out nine. It was the first time Harvey gave up more than one run in a start since July 25. He now has a 2.60 ERA with a 1.01 WHIP and a 158/34 K/BB ratio over 166 1/3 innings. Harvey matches up with the Nationals in a road start next.

Matt Harvey turned in a strong performance in Friday's no-decision against the Red Sox, firing six innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: Harvey struck out eight, walked one and allowed just two hits during his six innings on the mound. This should have been enough to earn him a victory, but Mets reliever Logan Verrett was knocked for three runs in the seventh and the Red Sox would ultimately win 6-4 in 10 innings. Tough outcome aside, Harvey's now allowed one or fewer runs in each of his last five starts while boasting a 2.48 ERA and 0.99 WHIP for the season. Given the way he's throwing the ball, his upcoming home outing against the Phillies should be a breeze.
