Player Notes
Stephen Vogt (wrist) is in the Athletics starting lineup on Saturday.

Advice: Vogt was expected to get the day off after he left Friday's game with a bruised wrist after he was hit by a pitch. He was able to avoid any serious injuries though and apparently feels good enough to give it a go on Saturday. He's in the midst of an outstanding season, slashing .304/.399/.545 with 13 homers and a league-leading 53 RBI.

X-rays on Stephen Vogt's wrist came back negative, and he's day-to-day after being hit by a pitch in Friday's game.

Advice: Vogt will probably need Saturday off, but it looks like he escaped serious injury.

Stephen Vogt left Friday's game in the ninth inning after getting hit on the right hand/wrist by a pitch.

Advice: Vogt was in quite a lot of pain, so this could be a DL-type situation. Josh Phegley would catch regularly if that's the case.

Stephen Vogt went 3-for-5 and scored a run in Thursday's win against the Rangers.

Advice: Vogt has logged three hits in three of his last four games. Not coincidentally, the Athletics have won all four games. Barring a tremendous slump or an injury, the 30-year-old should wind up on the AL All-Star roster as he's batting a healthy .308/.401/.552 with 13 home runs, 53 RBI (leading the league), and 37 runs scored.
