Player Notes
Yoenis Cespedes said after Friday's game that his left ankle is fine.

Advice: Cespedes, who returned from a mild left wrist sprain on Friday, turned his left ankle on the first base bag when he was picked off in the seventh inning. He was on the ground for a moment in obvious pain before walking off the field with a trainer, but he went back out to play his position in the bottom of the inning and managed to finish the game. "It bothered me a little once I twisted it at first base, but I'm OK," Cespedes said through an interpreter.

Yoenis Cespedes (wrist) said he's "ready to play."

Advice: Manager Terry Collins gave Cespedes the night off Thursday after receiving a cortisone injection in his sprained wrist a day earlier. Cespedes doesn't seem to be showing any ill effects and hopes to return as soon as possible. Alejandro De Aza will handle center field Thursday night but if Cespedes has his way, he'll be back there on Friday.

Yoenis Cespedes (wrist) is out of the Mets' starting lineup Thursday against the Braves.

Advice: Cespedes suffered a mild left wrist sprain Wednesday on a hard swing in the fifth inning. He was given a cortisone injection and might be rested a few more days, but it sounds like he is going to avoid the disabled list. Alejandro De Aza is in center field and batting eighth on Thursday night in Atlanta.

Advice: Cespedes was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Royals after spraining his wrist on a hard swing in the fifth inning. He received a cortisone shot after the game and is being listed as day-to-day. It is likely that Cespedes will miss at least a few games, but it appears for now that he has dodged the disabled list.

Yoenis Cespedes was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Royals with an apparent injury.

Advice: Cespedes appeared to grimace on one of his swings, but it's hard to guess where the pain was coming from. He left after drawing a walk in the bottom of the fifth. Alejandro De Aza took over in center field.
