Player Notes
Brandon Guyer went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and three runs scored in Monday's loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Guyer's blast in the second inning off of Wei-Yin Chen tied the game at the time in a contest that ended up being back-and-forth all night. Once known as a lefty masher, Guyer is playing against lefties and righties now and has settled in as the Rays' leadoff hitter since Logan Forsythe (shoulder) went down. He's batting .327/.410/.564 on the season.

Brandon Guyer had himself a game in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the A's, rocking a pair of home runs and finishing with five RBI.

Advice: Guyer tortured A's starter Sonny Gray in the early going, cracking a solo home run in the first inning and a three-run tater in the second. Those accounted for four of his five RBI. The other came more modestly, via a fourth-inning sacrifice fly. For the season, the 30-year-old outfielder is hitting .338/.448/.577 with four homers and 11 RBI over 71 at-bats. Sunday's big performance was nice, but there is nothing in Guyer's history that would suggest that he could be in for a fantasy-relevant season.

Brandon Guyer went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Athletics.

Advice: Guyer had his fifth double of the year in the game, but it was his two-run single in the eighth that did the damage. Guyer has hits in six of his last eight games, including four multi-hit games in that span. It all adds up to a .328/.451/.493 line in 22 games.
