Player Notes
Bryce Harper was scratched from the Nationals' lineup Wednesday due to left quad tightness.

Advice: The Nationals say he's been dealing with tightness in the quad since Friday. It was bad enough that he was removed from Monday's game, so it's not an situation that should be taken too lightly. At this point he seems to be day-to-day, but the team may give him more rest over the next few days to get his legs right.

Bryce Harper (quad) was a late scratch from the Nationals' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Harper was originally in the lineup batting third, but he was removed from the lineup about an hour before first pitch. There's no indication what the reason is but he left Monday's game with quad tightness, so its likely connected to that. He was replaced in left field by Tyler Moore.

Bryce Harper (quad) is in the Nationals' starting lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: Harper left Monday's game with quad tightness, but the Nationals had a big lead at the time and were just being cautious. He's hitting second Tuesday vs. Miami.

Bryce Harper left Monday's game against the Marlins with quad tightness.

Advice: It's not viewed as a serious ailment, as the Nationals were likely just playing it safe since they had a big lead. Manager Matt Williams said that Harper could be back in the lineup Tuesday.

Bryce Harper had a nice night at the dish in Friday's loss to the Braves, going 3-for-5 with a run scored.

Advice: Harper was hitting out of the sixth spot in manager Matt Williams' lineup in this one. He's off to a bit of a slow start offensively this season, hitting .270/.308/.351 with one homer and four RBI.

Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Marlins.

Advice: Harper took lefty Brad Hand deep for a three-run homer in the fourth inning. The 21-year-old entered the night hitting .160 with no extra-base hits. Harper suffered a head injury on Opening Day, so perhaps that was at least partially to blame for the slow start.
