Player Notes
Anthony Rizzo continued his hot hitting on Tuesday, blasting two home runs in the Cubs' 6-0 win over the Padres.

Advice: Rizzo hit solo shots in the third and seventh innings, giving him 25 on the year. That's now the most in the National League, and what's more, he's hit five in the team's four games since the All-Star break. Rizzo won the Final Vote in the NL, and he's proving all his backers right with his strong start to the second half.

Anthony Rizzo singled and hit a solo home run in four at-bats, but the Cubs were dispatched by the D'Backs 3-2 on Sunday.

Advice: Rizzo went deep for the 23rd time this season, belting a solo home run to right field off of Josh Collmenter. The blast gave the Cubs a 1-0 lead at the time, but did not stick. Rizzo has had an incredible season, slashing .281/.384/.522 with 53 RBI and 65 runs scored.

Anthony Rizzo hit a pair of homers to plate three of the Cubs' four runs on Friday.

Advice: Rizzo had his second two-homer game of the year, and he's up to 22 homers in 349 at-bats overall. Last year, he hit 23 homers in 606 at-bats. It probably should be noted that he had 40 doubles last year and just 15 so far this year, but we're not complaining.
