Player Notes
Anthony Rizzo went 3-for-5 with an RBI double and run scored in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Advice: The RBI two-bagger came in the middle of the Cubs' four-run first inning against Mike Leake. Rizzo has now put together a modest seven-game hitting streak, lifting his average back up top .295. He's now driven in 105 runs on the season, which beats last year's previous career high by four.

Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-5 with three RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Rizzo was in the right place at the right time Tuesday, swatting a two-run single in the fourth inning and adding an RBI single in the sixth. His three RBI gives him 104 RBI on the year, second only to Nolan Arenado's 124 RBI (!) in the National League. Rizzo also ranks among the league leaders in homers, walks, slugging percentage and OPS. After finding himself in the MVP voting each of the past two years, this could be the year the 27-year-old takes home his first trophy as the offensive leader of the best team in the league.
