Player Notes
Manny Banuelos didn't last long in Tuesday's loss to the Marlins, allowing three runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Advice: The Marlins plated a pair of runs in the first inning, then rallied for another run with two outs in the third inning to chase Banuelos. The lefty threw 52 pitches, allowing six hits and a walk without recording a strikeout. He was effective in three of four starts prior to his elbow injury, but it remains to see if he can recapture that before the end of the season. Banuelos has a 3.33 ERA, a 1.48 WHIP, and a 16/11 K/BB ratio in 24 1/3 innings. He's scheduled to take on the Phillies in a road match-up next.

Braves activated LHP Manny Banuelos from the 15-day disabled list.

Advice: Banuelos has been out for the count over the last few weeks as he rehabbed from a bout of inflammation in his pitching elbow. In his first rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday, he walked two and allowed a hit in two scoreless innings. The southpaw will return to a 2.49 ERA over 21 2/3 innings (four starts, one relief appearance). The Braves will undoubtedly be monitoring his pitch counts closely in the early going.

Tue, Sep 1 Rotoworld
Manny Banuelos (elbow) will be activated from the disabled list to start on Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: Banuelos went just two innings in a rehab start last Thursday, so he figures to be on a relatively limited pitch count Tuesday. The left-hander has missed the last five weeks of action with inflammation in his pitching elbow.

Mon, Aug 31 Rotoworld
Manny Banuelos (elbow) tossed two scoreless innings in his first rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

Advice: Banuelos walked two and didn't recorded any strikeouts, but he yielded just one hit. The left-hander will make at least a couple more rehab starts before hopefully rejoining the Braves' bullpen at some point in September.
