Player Notes
Manny Banuelos held the Brewers to one run over 5 1/3 innings to earn his first major league win, a 4-3 victory, on Tuesday.

Advice: The second batter of the game, Jonathan Lucroy, hit a solo shot off Banuelos, but the southpaw locked it down after that. Banuelos scattered five hits and three walks on the evening. The 24-year-old has been effective, if brief, in his two major league starts, throwing a combined 11 innings while allowing just the one run. A date with the Rockies in Colorado on Sunday may not be so friendly to Banuelos.

Manny Banuelos was forced to leave his major league debut against the Nationals on Thursday due to cramping and dehydration.

Advice: Banuelos was magnificent until the cramps hit him in the sixth innings, causing him to hit two consecutive batters before departing. He racked up seven strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings of work, walking none and allowing just two hits. The talented young left-hander should be good to go the next time his spot comes up in the rotation, which will be on Tuesday against the Brewers in Milwaukee.

Braves recalled LHP Manny Banuelos from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Banuelos will make his major league debut Thursday in the Braves' series finale against the Nationals. The 24-year-old former top prospect has registered a strong 2.29 ERA and 69/38 K/BB ratio over 82 2/3 innings this season for Gwinnett but probably isn't worth the one-time stream in most fantasy leagues. If he gets an extended look, that may change.

The Braves are expected to recall Manny Banuelos from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday to make his major league debut versus the Nationals.

Advice: He'll be taking Williams Perez's (foot) spot in the rotation. Acquired from the Yankees over the offseason in the David Carpenter deal, Banuelos holds a 2.29 ERA and 69/38 K/BB ratio over 82 2/3 innings for Gwinnett this season. His stay might be short, but he's worth a look in NL-only leagues.
