Player Notes
Jason Kipnis left Saturday's game against the Tigers with an illness.

Advice: Kipnis went 1-for-3 with a single before exiting in the seventh inning. Utility man Michael Martinez replaced him at second base and would likely get the start there Sunday if Kipnis is still feeling under the weather.

Jason Kipnis hit two triples and knocked in three runners to help the Indians beat the Tigers on Friday.

Advice: Kipnis tripled in two runs in the first inning, then tripled in another run in the fourth. His teammates failed to score him from third base both times. His .268/.325/.439 slash line isn't nearly as pretty as last year's .303/.372/.451 but his counting stats are looking better. His nine homers have already tied last year's total and put him on pace to beat his career high of 17. He has 36 runs and 38 RBI as well as four steals.
