Player Notes
Mitch Moreland capped off a six-run third inning with a three-run blast in Saturday's 7-2 victory over the Angels.

Advice: Moreland got a 90-mph cookie up in the zone from Matt Shoemaker, who had absolutely nothing left in the tank by the time the Rangers' first baseman stepped into the box. He's now hitting .257/.313/.459 with three homers and 11 RBI in 80 plate appearances. That's almost identical to his career numbers, too, so don't expect too much more from the 30-year-old slugger this year.

Mitch Moreland went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Yankees.

Advice: Moreland pitched in a two-run single in the Rangers' five-run third inning against Yankees starter Luis Severino. The output matched Moreland's production from the previous five games, as he'd been 2-for-16 without an RBI or a run scored over that span. The 30-year-old is hitting .239/.301/.418 overall.
