Player Notes
Trevor Plouffe homered for the second consecutive game on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to lead the Twins to victory over the Blue Jays in Toronto.

Advice: Plouffe tagged Bo Schultz for a two-run blast in the seventh inning that increased the Twins' advantage to 7-3. That would be the extent of their scoring on the afternoon though, leaving room for the Jays to mount a late-inning comeback. Plouffe also singled, finishing the afternoon 2-for-3 plus a walk. He's hitting .257/.297/.409 with nine homers and 39 RBI on the season.

Trevor Plouffe homered, drew a walk, and drove in two runs in Friday’s loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: He went 1-for-3 on the night. Plouffe slugged a solo homer in the first inning — his first homer since way back on July 1 — and drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the third. The 30-year-old has had an underwhelming season while also missing time with a fractured rib, but at least he has driven in 10 runs over his last 10 games.
