Player Notes
Jason Heyward is not in the Cardinals' starting lineup Tuesday night against the Brewers.

Advice: Randal Grichuk will start in right field and bat fifth against Milwaukee right-hander Tyler Cravy. Heyward is batting just .251/.302/.394 in 48 games this season.

Jason Heyward hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning Wednesday as the Cardinals beat the Diamondbacks 4-3.

Advice: The Cardinals went on to win on a game-ending error from catcher Jordan Pacheco in the ninth. Heyward's homer was his third in 10 games and fifth overall. He's had a miserable season, which is why he was batting eighth against a right-hander tonight, but he's still playing quite a bit better now than he did in April.

Jason Heyward (hip) is in the Cardinals' starting lineup Monday versus the visiting Diamondbacks.

Advice: Heyward sat out Saturday and Sunday in Kansas City with some lingering tightness in his left hip. He's starting in right field and batting seventh on Memorial Day. Matt Holliday is in left and Peter Bourjos is in center.

Jason Heyward (hip) remained out of the Cardinals' lineup Sunday.

Advice: He's now sat out two straight contests with tightness in his left hip. Heyward is considered day-to-day. Randal Grichuk is getting another start in right field.
