Player Notes
Ian Desmond slugged a solo home run Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Desmond took Vance Worley deep to tie things up in the sixth before the Pirates eventually took the lead back. While the Nationals went on to lose the ballgame, it was another encoring sign for Desmond, who has hit safely in five straight games while hitting three home runs.

Ian Desmond went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer Thursday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Desmond's homer was the 100th of his career. He's 7-for-13 with two homers and two walks in his last four games. That seems encouraging, but then, he's teased with little runs like that a few times this year and never kept it going.

Thu, Jul 23 Rotoworld
Ian Desmond went yard for the eighth time this season as the Nationals defeated the Mets on Monday.

Advice: Desmond finished 2-for-4 on the evening. His eighth-inning, two-run home run off of Alex Torres was unnecessary, as it padded the Nats' lead to 7-2. But it's his first home run in over three weeks in what has been a dismal season. Desmond is hitting .208/.251/.335 with 26 RBI along with the eight dingers.
