Mired in a deep slump, Fukudome went 2-for-4 with a home run on Wednesday. Recommendation: For now, he's still getting regular at-bats, especially with Reed Johnson on the shelf, but he'll have to string together a few more productive games going forward, or Sam Fuld (and Johnson when he returns) could cut into his playing time. |

CF Kosuke Fukudome homered in the sixth inning Wednesday. It was Fukudome's first homer since May 26, when he connected off the Pirates' Ian Snell at Wrigley Field. Fukudome, who has been slumping, was 2-for-4, raising his average to .260. |
