Player Notes
Justin Ruggiano crushed a grand slam in Thursday's 10-7 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Ruggiano was just activated from the disabled list on Thursday after sitting out several weeks due to a strained hamstring. He made sure that his return was a memorable one. Facing off against Madison Bumgarner with the bases loaded and one out in the fourth inning, Ruggiano crushed a bomb to center for the grand slam. It put the Mets up 4-0, but that would be quickly be erased by an ineffective Jacob deGrom, as the Giants scored five runs of their own in the bottom of the frame. While Thursday's dinger was smooth enough for Ruggiano, the veteran outfielder has seen just 10 total at-bats between the Rangers -- who released him near the end of June -- and the Mets. There is no true fantasy relevance here.

Mets activated OF Justin Ruggiano from the 15-day disabled list.

Advice: He's back after missing about two weeks with a strained hamstring. Ruggiano will start in center field and bat sixth Thursday against the Giants. Reliever Gabriel Ynoa was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas in the corresponding move.

Justin Ruggiano (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list before Thursday night's game against the Giants.

Advice: The Mets are finally getting healthy with Ruggiano returning Thursday and Yoenis Cespedes (quad) joining the fold on Friday. Asdrubal Cabrera (knee) will also be back at some point this weekend. Ruggiano gives the Mets some outfield depth but he's not a fantasy option.

Justin Ruggiano (hamstring) could be activated off the disabled list this weekend.

Advice: This according to Mets assistant general manager John Ricco. A left hamstring strain sidelined Ruggiano at the beginning of August, but he made quick work of his rehab and could rejoin the team after spending just over the minimum on the 15-day disabled list.

Justin Ruggiano (hamstring) is set to begin a rehab assignment Monday with Triple-A Las Vegas.

Advice: Ruggiano has been on the disabled list since August 2 because of a left hamstring strain. He was signed to a major league contract in late July but has logged only six at-bats so far with the Mets.
