The Denver Post's Troy E. Renck reports the Colorado Rockies recalled RP Josh Newman.

LHP Josh Newman spent only 11 days at Class AAA Colorado Springs and made two appearances, working three shutout innings, before rejoining the Rockies when RHP Ryan Speier was placed on the disabled list. Newman gives the rockies a left-hander in the bullpen in addition to closer Brian Fuentes.
