However, Atlanta manager Fredi Gonzalez said Gwinnett manager Dave Brundage reported the team misplayed balls behind Jurrjens and that the numbers don't reflect how he pitched. The key points are that his slider was good and that there was separation between it and his changeup. There is no timetable for Jurrjens' return to the big-league rotation.

Recommendation: Being send down to the minors won't help Jurrjens rediscover his diminishing fastball. Jurrjens, who averaged 91.1 mph with the pitch two seasons ago, was averaging 88.2 mph before being send down, and a 3.68 K/9 in Triple-A does not indicate major league success.
