Schierholtz took a called third strike on a fastball down the middle in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies as a pinch-hitter to end the game.
Recommendation: Schierholtz has lost quite a bit of playing time to Gregor Blanco in right field recently, and a plate appearance like Tuesday's won't help him regain confidence in manager Bruce Bochy's eyes, especially with Bochy being such a "hot hand" manager.
