RHP Jesse Litsch learned Tuesday that the infection in his injured right shoulder is gone. But he still has a sore shoulder, a problem that began in spring training. He had an injection and an infection developed that resulted in surgery. The immobilization of his shoulder after surgery resulted in what is called "frozen surgery." "I've had numerous MRIs and it's the same as it was prior to the infection," Litsch said. "There's no structural damage and I don't have an infection. The pain is still here and I have a lot of pain but we're trying to figure things out."

Litsch said Tuesday that precautionary tests on his shoulder confirmed the infection is totally gone, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.
Recommendation: The 27-year-old said he's never felt such pain before, and recently referred to the infection as "career threatening." It's good news that the infection is gone, but the right-hander isn't anywhere near a return at this point.
