CF Don Kelly is 1-for-19 subbing for injured CF Austin Jackson, part of the reason the Tigers brought up CF Quintin Berry from their Toledo farm club Tuesday night. The Tigers were down to just three outfielders, though, with Jackson hurt and 2B/OF Ryan Raburn on the bereavement list. Kelly was a late lineup insertion for Jackson on Tuesday night and went 0-for-3 with a walk.

Kelly will start in center field Thursday against the Twins, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Recommendation: Kelly starts in place of Austin Jackson, who exited Wednesday's game with an abdominal strain. If Jackson is sidelined for subsequent games or is forced to go on the DL, Kelly would receive the bulk of the at-bats in center. Kelly is batting .220 in 41 at-bats this season, with none of his hits going for extra bases.
