Player Notes
Andrew McCutchen went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI, including the game-winning RBI single in the 10th inning, to lead the Pirates past the Brewers 3-2 on Thursday.

Advice: Cutch was up to the task all evening, hitting a solo homer in the first before knocking an RBI single in the third and his game-winner in the 10th. The homer was his 18th of the season to give him 55 RBI and 65 runs scored. It's still not the Andrew McCutchen we've come to know and expect, but he's now hitting .303 in the month of August and is batting .250/.329/.419 in 116 games overall.

Andrew McCutchen is out of the Pirates' lineup on Wednesday afternoon against the Astros.

Advice: Starling Marte is in center field, Gregory Polanco is in left field, and Matt Joyce is in right field in the afternoon tilt versus Houston right-hander Collin McHugh. This appears to be a routine day of rest for McCutchen, who's been hitting the ball well in August.

Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-4 in Sunday's loss to the Marlins.

Advice: No true fireworks here for McCutchen, but he could use any hits he can get given the way this season has unfolded for him. The star outfielder is slashing a measly .246/.326/.411 with 17 homers and 51 RBI over 443 at-bats. With a little over a month remaining in the season, those numbers aren't likely to see a major turnaround barring an insane hot streak.

Sun, Aug 21 Rotoworld
Andrew McCutchen came up clutch with a two-run home run in the fifth inning of Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Advice: McCutchen whacked homer No. 17 off veteran starter Matt Cain in the fifth inning. His dinger snapped a 4-4 tie. While the Giants would come back with a run in the ninth to draw within one, the final score would stand at 6-5 Pirates. McCutchen's season has been a downright disappointment on the whole, as the All-Star outfielder is hitting just .248/.329/.418 with 17 homers and 51 RBI across 431 at-bats. A silver lining, though: McCutchen has picked up hits in eight of his last 10 games and has now notched multi-hit efforts in each of his last three. He has the talent to help carry a fantasy team to glory if he suddenly finds a magic groove.
