Slowey (right lat strain) was placed on the disabled list Tuesday, the Indians' official Twitter page reports.
Recommendation: The 28-year-old isn't turning many heads at Triple-A Columbus so far this year, going 3-3 with a 5.14 ERA through eight starts. The team promoted right-hander Cole Cook to take his spot in the rotation, and it doesn't appear Slowey will be in the bigs again anytime soon. He went 0-8 with a 6.67 ERA last year with the Twins.
