Hochevar took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over eight 6.2 innings.
Recommendation: Hochevar pitched well, but he was outdueled by Phil Hughes. Hochevar notched eight strikeouts against three walks in one of his better starts this season, but he continues to give up too many baserunners to really be a factor -- his WHIP sits at 1.510 after Tuesday's start.

RHP Luke Hochevar took the 3-2 loss Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium, giving up three runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked three. It was Hochevar's third consecutive solid outing. In that span, he has permitted seven earned runs and 16 hits in 19 2/3 innings, walking five and striking out 19, but he is 1-2. Hochevar, the first pick in the 2006 draft, has a 32-47 career record.
