RHP Jeff Niemann will be moved to the bullpen temporarily as the Rays take advantage of their two off-day week to skip his next turn. RHP Matt Garza will start Sunday in Niemann's place, with RHP James Shields working Tuesday, followed by LHP Scott Kazmir, LHP David Price and then Garza. Niemann is in line to start Saturday, July 11, with Shields then starting the first-half finale on July 12. |

Niemann will have his start on Sunday skipped, according to the Tampa Tribune. Recommendation: Matt Garza will take his spot instead. Niemann will be available out of the pen during the weekend, so don't be surprised to see his name in the box score at some point. It looks like Niemann's next start will come next Saturday, at home against Oakland. |
