Player Notes
Evan Longoria ripped a two-run homer in Monday's loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Longo's blast with one out in the ninth inning broke up the shutout, but the Rays were unable to get any closer. The third baseman has now gone deep six times over his last 15 games. It's been quite the bounce-back season in the power department for Longoria.

Evan Longoria went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in the Rays' 8-2 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Longoria hit a solo homer off Rangers starter A.J. Griffin in the sixth inning after collecting an RBI single in the first. The home run was the 28th of the year for the 30-year-old, his highest single-season total since 2013 and the fourth time he's hit 28 or more in a year. It's no surprise, then, that Longoria is having one of the best offensive seasons of his career, batting .291/.343/.549 with 75 RBI and 65 runs scored.

Evan Longoria had a nice day at the dish in Sunday's 12-3 win over the Yankees, doubling twice while driving in four runs.

Advice: Longoria picked up his first RBI knock with a run-scoring double in the first inning. His second double came in the fourth inning. That one cleared the bases. With that pair of two-baggers, the veteran third baseman has now notched 31 of them for the season as a whole. He is slashing a stupendous .289/.340/.540 with 26 homers and 70 RBI over 450 at-bats. He finished this weekend's series against the Yankees with seven hits in 11 at-bats.
