Fields and Chris Getz have officially been traded to the Roayls from the White Sox for Mark Teahen, the Royal's official web site reports. The Royals also sent cash in the deal. Recommendation: The trade was widely reported on Thursday, but then later denied by both teams. After all the back and forth, it pretty much looks like the same deal that was initially reported except the cash involved. It's not clear where he'll play in Kansas City with Alex Gordon at third base, but he may get more opportunity with the Royals after failing to secure an everyday job in Chicago. |
