Kouzmanoff has been discussed in trade talks with the Mariners, but the chances for a deal are not strong, FoxSports.com reports. Recommendation: Kouzmanoff would fill an immediate need at third base after Adrian Beltre underwent surgery. Beltre is also a free agent at year's end and likely won't be back. Kouzmanoff, though, isn't a great fit for Safeco Field, which is tough on right-handed power. Seattle could also use a hitter who takes a walk now and then, and that's not Kouzmanoff (10:60 BB:K). |
