C Russell Martin didn't start for just the 14th time this season. But he did pinch-hit for Danny Ardoin in the seventh inning, then caught the final two innings. He went hitless in two at-bats, but he still is hitting .348 (8-for-23) for the second half, with a double, three RBIs and four runs.
