Player Notes
Robinson Cano finished 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in the Mariners' defeat of the Padres on Wednesday.

Advice: Cano hit a single in the fourth inning, a solo shot in the sixth inning, another single in the seventh inning, and an RBI double in the top of the ninth. It was one of his best games of the season. He's still batting just .247/.285/.365 in 75 total games.

Robinson Cano (head) is back in the Mariners' lineup Sunday.

Advice: Cano was hit in the forehead by an errant throw from the Angels' Taylor Featherston in between innings Saturday. He avoided a serious injury, though, and is back in there Sunday.

Robinson Cano is day-to-day with a bruised forehead.

Advice: The injury occurred when Cano got hit by an errant throw from Angels shortstop Taylor Featherston between innings. Cano passed his concussion test and most of the swelling has already gone down. Expect the six-time All-Star to be back in the lineup on Sunday.

Robinson Cano left Saturday's game against the Angels with a head injury.

Advice: A ball struck him in the forehead while the Angels were warming up between innings. Willie Bloomquist replaced Cano at second base. Cano was hitless in three at-bats before exiting. The six-time All-Star is likely headed for a concussion test.

Robinson Cano went 1-for-4 with a solo home run as the Mariners dropped Monday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Cano gave the Mariners a quick 1-0 lead with a first-inning solo home run off of Joe Blanton. It's his first home run since May 30 and only his third of the season in what has been a terrible season. He's batting .244/.283/.343 with 23 RBI.
