Player Notes
Ryan Howard hit a two-run home run in a loss to the Marlins on Thursday.

Advice: Howard turned around a Tom Koehler fastball in the fourth inning, clearing the left field wall for the opposite-field jack. The homer was his 14th of the year, giving him 30 RBI. That's about all the good you can say about the 36-year-old, who's hitting just .160/.219/.376 on the year.

Ryan Howard hit his 13th home run of the season and the Phillies beat the Mets 4-2 on Saturday.

Advice: Howard hit a solo dong in the second inning against Mets starter Logan Verrett, his only hit in four at-bats. He has 13 homers in 69 games this year, but the 36-year-old's current .369 slugging percentage would be the lowest of his career if the season ended today. The Phillies are surely counting the days until his contract expires this winter.
