Mark Teahen's move to third base means there should be an outfield spot open for Gathright on an almost everyday basis.
Recommendation: He got the start in center field Friday and was batting ninth, which was his usual spot before going down with a shoulder injury last month. But with the way leadoff man Mike Aviles has been hitting, Gathright should have no problem moving around the diamond should he get on base.

OF Joey Gathright, who is on the disabled list with a bone bruise in his right shoulder, is hitting .167 in six games while on a rehab assignment with Omaha. He is 4-for-24, with all of his hits singles. He has one walk, one strikeout and no stolen bases.
