Player Notes
Melvin Upton went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk, three RBI, and two runs scored Wednesday in the Blue Jays' victory over the Yankees.

Advice: Upton scored the Jays' second run of the afternoon on a Darwin Barney double in the top of the second inning before slugging a three-run blast off CC Sabathia in the top of the fifth. He also singled in the fourth. It was easily his most productive game since joining the Blue Jays via trade on July 26. He entered the day batting just .190 with a .415 OPS over 62 plate appearances in a Toronto uniform.
